Instead of letting iTunes pick your songs, why don’t you create your own playlists, and sync them? You will need to connect your iPod, then go to the Music tab. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library? An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of this iTunes library. I have an ipod touch and have been using it to download music and purchase music from the ipod itself. I just bought an apple macbook pro and when i went to transfer all of my music it merely put all of the music i “purchased” over the years via itunes on the new itunes on my mac. That means over 50% of my music didn’t transfer. I am wondering if I just have to set my laptop to new settings saying “transfer all music” or something on the “my ipod” tab. Now itunes give me a message that the ipod can only syncronise with one computer – and that to attempt to sync with the “new” computer will result in the tunes from the computer being transfered to the ipod. Since there are no tunes this could mean I lose everything from my ipod. Is there a safe way i can transfer the tunes from my ipod to my laptop?
